After three years of paying their dues as underclassmen, seniors can finally sit back and do what seniors do best -- party. And Saturday they will have their first chance at the year's premiere "Senior Screamer" at Smokey Joe's. The event is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. "Senior Screamers are designed to get together as many seniors as possible," Senior Class President Lenny Chang said. "It's also a time to re-meet people from freshman year. It's kind of a bonding experience." Chang, who is in charge of planning senior events for the year, said the Senior Class Board wanted to hold the first screamer on the night of the season's first football game. The Wharton senior added that Saturday's Screamer will be highlighted by drink specials. "We're planning on having at least one a month," he added. Chang said the Class Board is also hoping to organize an elaborate senior formal and a jam-packed Senior Week at the end of second semester. He said he has tentative plans to organize the traditional "Feb Club," with parties and contests throughout the month of February. "We're also going to try to organize class outings, a trip to [Atlantic City] for a bonfire on the beach, and another to New York City," he said. Chang said he also hopes to organize football tailgating parties and a "South Street Strut," in which seniors would visit numerous bars and clubs along South Street. Senior Class Vice President Justin Feil said all seniors are encouraged to contribute suggestions for activities for the year. Seniors with ideas and recommendations should call 898-9999 and leave a message on voice mail by spelling out C-L-A-S-S-B-O-A-R-D-S on their touchtone phones.
