Every year during reading days, its a sure bet to find students cramming for finals in libraries, lounges and dorm rooms. But this year, many students have said they will use their reading days to do other things besides studying. In fact, some said studying is last on their minds. Nursing freshman Jina Wye and College sophomore Andrew Feldschriber said they will use their reading days to catch up on lost sleep. "I'm just going to sleep my day away," Feldschriber said. Wye added she would also use the time to chat with friends over e-mail. And, Wharton sophomore Jason Hochman said he intends to play basketball. But others have more creative ideas in mind. College freshman Hollis Kramer said she wants to take advantage of the nice weather and tour the city. "I want to take the time to see the city, because during the winter reading days it was too cold," Kramer said. "There have been so many beautiful days recently. It's perfect weather to see the sights." College freshman Alex Edelman said he plans to use his reading days as days to relieve tension. "I plan to cross train and weight lift to relieve stress," Edelman said. But, for some students, the reading days will be a time to take up forgotten hobbies. Nursing freshman Debbie Liebowitz said she plans to "crochet beanies," and College sophomore David Rosenberg said he would like to "play croquet."
