They decided to make it a tradition. Braving the cold early yesterday morning, about 15 women ran naked through the Quadrangle in the second annual female streak. As a group of five or so male students gathered to witness the event around 7 a.m., one streaker said in a pre-run panic: "There are guys over there!" "Oh, we'll run anyway," another streaker answered. Undaunted, the group quickly disrobed near the Upper Quad statue of the Rev. George Whitefield, and ran – screaming – around the courtyard. "They've got bigger balls than I do," one male onlooker said. "It takes a lot of courage to do what they're doing. It's cold out here." As the streakers finished their three minute lap in the buff, they gasped and giggled as they pulled on their clothes. "That's one hell of a stress reliever," said one streaker, who asked that her name not be used. "Whew. I can't believe I did that." Another fellow streaker, a veteran from last year's streak, said the event "was a reminder not to take life too seriously." "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity," she said. "It's exhilarating!" Another male onlooker, who asked to remain anonymous, said while he "thoroughly enjoyed" the event, he was required to attend. "A frat brother heard about this and decided to make it a pledge event," the College freshman said. "He told me and another pledges we had to get up and see this." He added he "respected" the women and their boldness. "All the women have my highest admiration," he said. "What they did was pretty amazing." One male student, who was wandering around the courtyard about 10 minutes after the streak, had no idea anything had happened. "Get out of here! They were naked?" he said in disbelief. "Oh, man, I missed it."
