Two University students reported being robbed at gunpoint at approximately 10 p.m. Friday evening, according to University Police Lieutenant Susan Holmes. The victims said the assailant took both of their wallets, including $40 and a University identification card at 3901 Chestnut Street. In an unrelated incident, three men -- two of whom were later apprehended -- stole a walkman from a University student at approximately 8:30 p.m. a week before last Tuesday from the 3400 block of Sansom Street, Holmes said. The third assailant escaped with the walkman. Holmes said a strong arm robbery occurred Sunday night at about 10:30 on the 4300 block of Spruce Street. A female affiliated with the University reported having her purse stolen by a male. She sustained no injuries. A male affiliated with the University reported being robbed at gunpoint just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning on the 3700 block of Sansom street. Holmes said he reported no injuries. Holmes said a University graduate student and her mother reported being robbed but not injured Monday night at about 10:30 on the 4200 block of Spruce street. The assailant stole their purses without showing a weapon. A male University student reported that his dormitory room in the Birthday section of the Quadrangle was broken into Thurdsay afternoon. The value of his belongings was not disclosed, Holmes said. According to Holmes, University Police officers apprehended two suspects at 38th and Locust streets a week before last Tuesday morning at about 10:30. They allegedly stole an answering machine and two beepers from the third floor of the Johnson Pavilion. After a positive identification was made, the assailants were taken to the 18th District for processing. An in-progress burglary was reported Saturday morning at about 1 a.m. in the rear of St. Anthony's Hall fraternity house, located at 3637 Locust Walk. When University Police officers arrived, the burglar fled the scene but was apprehended and a positve identification was made, Holmes said. The suspect was then taken to the 18th District for processing. According to Holmes, University Police received a complaint of aggravated assault Tuesday at 10 a.m. from a female University student about her boyfriend who is not affiliated with the University. The suspect was taken to the 18th District from the 200 block of South 43rd street.
