The incident is the second physical dispute to occur in an on-campus movie theater in the last month. In the first, a 19-year-old woman was shot inside the AMC Walnut Street theater. University Police Lieutenant Susan Holmes said the woman "exchanged words" with another person inside the theater before "the action moved outside." It was then, according to Holmes, that the woman was assaulted. In an unrelated incident, an unknown person or persons broke into a Physical Plant storage area at 4015 Walnut Street and stole $4900 worth of cleaning equipment. The burglary was reported to University Police at 7:50 a.m. yesterday. Among the missing items were: 21 cases of trash bags, seven Eureka brand vacuum cleaners, two hand-held vacuum cleaners, one carpet washing device, three Sarnita brand vacuum cleaners, one Black and Decker brand drill, and one high-speed buffer. In another separate incident, a man stole the wallet of an unknown complainant at the WaWa convenience store at 3604 Chestnut Street at 1:26 p.m. yesterday. The thief was described as a black man, wearing a black jacket and fleeing the scene in a four-door midsize maroon automobile driven by a black woman. Separately, a female student reported that an unknown person threw objects at the window of her house at 400 South 43rd Street at 5:45 p.m. Sunday. In another unrelated incident, a computer worth $2000 was reported stolen from the Colonial Penn building at 3641 Locust Walk at 6:51 a.m. yesterday. Also, a 1990 Ford automobile was reported stolen from the Class of 1923 Ice Rink at 8:44 p.m. Sunday.
