The meeting was moved due to conflicting schedules with many of the members. During the annual "transitional meeting," new UA members elect their steering committee, including chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer, secretary and two nominees for University Council steering representative. It typically runs for over four hours, and many student leaders had predicted a competitive race for the positions this year. Outgoing UA chairperson Duchess Harris said that delaying the meeting for four days will not hurt student government. The meeting is now scheduled for noon Sunday in room 245 of Houston Hall and is open to all students. -- Drew Zoller
