According to co-founder Larry Schoen, the group aims to raise money for cancer research, sponsor education programs and support those with cancer or those knowing others with cancer. Karen Lundblad, who holds a masters degree in social work, will discuss dealing with the disease as well as its psychological effects. The American Cancer Society's Roy Gay will then offer basic information on cancer, discussing the breakdown of the disease's different forms. The speeches, which are free and open to the public, will be held in Vance Hall B-7 at 5:30. -- Helen Jung
