David Kaufman, the chairperson of SCUE, said that the reception is designed to promote interaction between professors and students. "We think it's a good way for the faculty and students to interact in an informal manner," Kaufman said last night. "We hope that the University would provide more of these events so that students could learn more about the interests of faculty beyond the classroom, and so the faculty can learn about the interests of students beyond the classroom." Kaufman said SCUE has sent out over 350 invitations to the event, and expects between 100 and 200 students and faculty to attend the gathering. He said that SCUE will provide free refreshments and the Palladium will run a cash bar. All students and faculty are invited to the event. -- Drew Zoller Psi U nat'l pushes 'Owl' ban (CUT LINE) Please see PSI U, page 9 PSI U, from page 1 (CUT LINE) Please see LEAVING, page 9 LEAVING, from page 1
