According a spokesperson for TAUP, the executive committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of the proposal, which was reached Monday morning after 14 hours of negotiations. No details will be released on the agreement until the entire union votes next week, a union spokesperson said. The union and the administration have both declined to comment on the settlement until that time. Union rank and file will vote on the contract next Tuesday and Wednesday at Temple. The teachers have been without a contract since last September when they went on strike during negotiations. The teachers returned to work after a court order on October 3. -- Margaret Kane
