College senior Rubin Sinins said that at about midnight Tuesday night on the 4100 block of Locust Street, he was approached by a man who attempted to punch him. Sinins said that after he avoided several punches and dropped his backpack, two other men appeared and approached him. The first man then picked up the backpack, and reached into his sweatshirt -- a move that Sinins interpreted as possibly reaching for a weapon. The College senior then ran inside his house and a roommate called University Police. University Police would not release any information about the attack. Sinins, who was not injured in the incident, said that the backpack did not contain any valuable items. He said that the first man, whom he described as a black man, 5' 10" in his early 30s and wearing a baseball cap, fled west on Locust Street. -- Matthew Hilk
