UA Chairperson Duchess Harris said the meeting will provide SAC organizations an opportunity to increase their role in student government. "Groups don't know that they can come to the UA and get services," Harris said. SAC Vice Chairperson Greg Shufro said that the meeting would create a "cohesiveness among groups" and improve the role of the UA. "One of the main reasons that student government has been ineffective is that people don't know how to use it," Shufro said. SAC representatives voted to recognize the Black Inter-Greek Council, the German Club, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan and Students Together Against Acquaintence Rape. They also elected three new members to the Finance Committee. In addition, 31 SAC groups signed-up to participate in a new Penn Watch route organized by the UA. -- Laura Santini
