The party, which will begin with a cocktail buffet at 7 p.m., is open to all University graduate students who present their student identification cards. Following cocktails, the party will move the 1920 Commons where the band, Public Service, and a disc-jockey will entertain party-goers. Along with free food and drink, there will be also be a raffle with five $100 checks as prizes, to encourage graduate students to come to the festivities. The theme of the party is an "a pulling together of graduate schools," said Elizabeth Burgess, a Nursing Ph.D. candidate who is vice-chair in charge of special projects for the Graduate and Professional Students Assembly. "I hope we can all get along and have a good time together," Burgess added. -- Ed Miller
