The first floor of 1920 Commons has been flooded due to a water spillage Saturday afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m., Commons staff and students were forced to evacuate building.
Facilities workers are currently working to shut down all water lines in the building, according to a staff member who wished to remain anonymous due to job security.
“We’re trying to keep everyone safe. That’s the goal,” the staff member said.
According to an email from Hospitality and Residential Services, Commons will remain closed for use throughout all of Sunday night. It is not yet clear whether the building will reopen Monday.
