Friends and neighbors of Ellen Robb have installed a garden gazebo in her honor outside of Roberts Elementary School in Wayne.

Robb, who was found bludgeoned to death in her Wayne home last December, was an active volunteer at the school, and had a daughter attend there as well.

Robb was 49 years old when she died.

The 1,000-pound gazebo, which was installed June 2 by over 20 friends and school faculty members, will be officially dedicated in the fall.

A group named Friends of Ellen raised around $6,000 through the Ellen Gregory Robb Memorial Fund to purchase the gazebo.

Ellen's estranged husband, former Penn professor Rafael Robb, is accused of murdering her, and is scheduled to stand trial in November.

In the print version of the DP, the photo caption for this story read, "In Memorium". You Philistines! Don't try to use Latin if you don't know it. The correct phrase if "In Memoriam".
