Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump recently announced major updates to his plan to address student debt. On one issue, he is further left than either Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton or President Obama —he plans to forgive debt after 15 years, as opposed to Clinton's 20-year time frame.
Before Trump’s Oct. 13 speech on student debt, he had given few details on his plans to make college more affordable. Unlike Clinton, he does not describe his plans for student debt on his website.
