Penn has been dethroned at the top of College Factual's annual list of the United States' best colleges.
Yale took over the No. 1 spot from Penn, which fell to second on the list. College Factual lists factors like student retention rate and the percentage of full-time professors as key parts of its formula.
Duke rounded out the top three while Stanford and Harvard placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Princeton, Brown, MIT, Notre Dame and Dartmouth comprised the rest of the top 10. Cornell ranked 15th while Columbia was the lowest among all Ivy League schools, placing 31st.
