A fire broke out in a fourth floor room in Du Bois College House late Saturday evening. All building occupants have evacuated, and there are no injuries.
According to House Dean Trish Williams, a resident was cooking, and a toaster had set off the fire.
University Police Sergeant Lawrence Salotti said the building’s sprinkler system had been activated and that there is water in some of the rooms.
The Philadelphia Fire Department, the Division of Public Safety, Penn Police and Housing and Conference Services staff are on scene.
